HEY THERE! Thanks for taking a look at my website. I'm a dancer, performer, choreographer, and singer who enjoys exploring the limitless career of dancing. About
Tara Cooper is a dancer, performer, choreographer, and singer from Gainsville, FL. She is attending Valdosta State University to receive her BFA in Dance to pursue her career in the arts. She received her Associate of Science in Musical Theater from the Florida School of the Arts in Palatka, FL. She is an officer of the NHSDA (National Honor Society of Dance Arts). Her background is in many styles, such as jazz, contemporary, ballet, tap, and hip-hop. She is a dedicated and committed artist who is driven to see the value of never giving up.
When Tara is not dancing, you can find her at CrossFit, being upside down on the aerial silks, walking on the beach and listening to a podcast, playing with her pets, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
Tara has been studying Aerial Dance Arts for the past two years at Valdosta State University. She is training in sling, lyra, trapeze, and rope. Her strength is in Silks and Lyra, but she loves all of them. She hopes to continue this path and participate in a retreat.
Tara hopes to inspire others through her dedication, commitment, positive attitude, and drive as a human being and dancer. She encourages everyone to be a confident individual and never give up. She believes that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Tara's words of wisdom: "Keep challenging yourself and go after what you want because you can change your life and who you are."
Performer
Tara has been performing since the age of seven. She continues to build on her training through school, workshops, dance pedagogy, and intensives all over the world , including NJ, NY, Florida, and Europe. She enjoys all styles of dance, especially jazz and contemporary, because of her ability to tell a story through the movement. She hopes to inspire the younger generation in her teaching, as she loves working with kids. Tara hopes to become a dancer/aerialist performer on cruise ships and teach kids to dance.

Tara defines herself as a person who is driven to reach her goals no matter the outcome. Here is an example of when she was injured and had to modify due her injury, which did not stop her from dancing. Success is often born from failure. When things get tough, she believes its important not to give up. It's these challenging days that build strength. So, don't be afraid to restart, reset, and refocus!
